Have you always wanted to try your hand at sculpting with clay and creating 3D art? One of the best introductions to this timeless art form is by first learning Relief Sculpture (sculpture that is attached to a solid background). Square West Arts Loft is proud to bring local artists the opportunity to learn the basics of Relief Sculpture with master sculptor, Jennifer Grisham.
Among Grisham's many accomplishments as a sculptor and artist, she has a life-sized commissioned portrait of James K. Polk catalogued by the Smithsonian Institution, a life-sized commissioned head study of Lady Bird Johnson (First Lady to President Lyndon B. Johnson) on display at Columbia State Community College, and a portrait sculpture of Minnie Pearl on display at the visitors center in Centerville, Tennessee. You can see her incredible work and learn more about her at her web site, www.jennifergrisham.com
The class will run for 3 weeks, on 3 consecutive Thursdays (May 10th, 17th, and 24th) from 6pm-8pm. All clay, materials, and tools will be provided and students will create various sculptures of animal subjects. The price for this amazing opportunity is only $80. There isn't a class like this that offers so much for such a reasonable price ANYWHERE in Middle Tennessee. Limited space is available and registration is required, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible. Click on the "Add To Cart" button below to register and purchase the class:
