Stories on the Square

  • Square West Arts Loft 32 Public Square Columbia, TN, 38401 United States (map)

Are you a fan of The Moth Radio Hour on NPR? Are you a writer, blogger, or just someone who loves to tell or listen to REAL and true stories in a LIVE setting? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you are one of the multitudes of people who have discovered a love for live storytelling. It's not stand-up comedy, it's not poetry or book reading, but real people, telling real stories... LIVE.

Square West Arts Loft, in partnership with Heirloom: Family Stories, is proud to bring this budding art form to Columbia, Tennessee. On the 2nd Thursday of each month, we will present Stories on the Square, a 90-minute event where people will share their stories in front of a live audience. The theme of our first show is Lost And Found

If you have a story to tell that fits the theme, message us or comment below if you'd like to be one of our first storytellers on April 12th. If you're not ready to TELL a story, come on out to HEAR some great tales... admission is FREE (donations are always appreciated). If your story doesn't fit the theme, sign up anyway! And if you know someone who you think would be a great storyteller, let them know or just bring them along.

If you are thinking of storytelling that night, here is a link from The Moth Radio Hour's website with some helpful tips and suggestions:
